- Marzipan topped mince pies - something a bit different and also yummy with soya cream (available in most supermarkets)

- A Lot of Chocolate a local maker and distributor of dairy-free chocolate treats, near Rivermead
- Vegan Cottage amazing home-baked on-line treats to order.
- Vegan Store on-line chocolates and treats, and much more
- Animal Aid on-line shop with yummy goodies

by Vegan CottageSupermarkets will cover some nice basics, and more in their Free From ranges. Nearly all supermarkets will sell dairy-free ice cream (Swedish Glace in black tubs), soya cream (usually Alpro in the long-life milk section) and a fair few other treats. Lindt Excellence dark chocolate is everywhere and dairy-free, as are many supermarket own brand dark chocolate bars, perfect for making desserts.
Jusrol pastry (apart from the blatant butter variety) is vegan too, as is nearly all filo pastry - so great for rustling up a quick festive wellington or strudel!
Photo: Fairfoods mince piesSome mince pies are vegan and others are not. Try Budgen's, and we hear Co-Op has some mince puffs, four fresh baked in the fresh bakery section, labelled vegan in most branches. Also the True Food Co-op and Garlands sell vegan and gluten free mince pies which are yummy.
Holland and Barrett in Reading can sell you some yummy stuff too, such as Redwood and Fry's meat alternatives and Celebration Roasts, vegan frozen cheesecakes and more.
