Christmas favourite restaurant and shop opening hours

Here we give you the opening hours of the top places veggies and vegans eat and shop in the Thames Valley. One of our favourites, Al Tarboush, is even open on Christmas Day!

Best Food Shops

The True Food Co-op is open: 23 Dec 8:30am-5:30pm, Friday 24 Dec 8:30am-1pm, 29-31 Dec 10am-4pm, and from 4th Jan 2011 open their regular hours (from 8:30am week days, 10am Sats).

Garlands Organic - Christmas Eve (24th)  9.00 - 1.00pm, Dec 30th & 31st 9.30am - 2.30pm. Normal opening hours resume from Tuesday 4th January 2011.

Eating Out Favourites

The Red Lion is serving food Christmas Eve 12-3pm and 6-9pm; Boxing Day and the following Monday and Tuesday 12-6pm; Wed 29th and Thurs 30th 12-3pm and 6-9pm; Fri 31 Dec 12-3pm;Sat, Sun Mon 1st-3rd January 12-6pm, with regular hours from 4th onwards. Always an extensive vegan and veggie menu on, and also ask about any specials.

The Global Cafe serving Tutu's acclaimed Ethiopian dishes is open Thurs 23rd Dec, and then not until 4th January 2011, when all will be back to normal.

Al Tarboush, a firm and reliable favourite is open absolutely every day from noon till midnight, including Christmas Day!
