Description
The Spice Oven has stood out from Reading's other Indian restaurants by it unusual menu, good cooking and smart surroundings, including an indoor water garden! The Spice Oven has recently extended its menu to include cuisines from China, Thailand, Malaysia, India, Italy, Spain, Mexico and France.
The increase in variety has come at a cost for those who enjoyed the original menu. The choice for veggies and eso vegans has reduced.

"Well, I gave this restaurant another shot, and I'm convinced this place is not so vegan-friendly, though I am not 100% sure. About 2 hours later I had a serious migraine, so I think they use MSG. Also, I had a rather phlegmy throat the next morning. My guess is that I had some dairy as well...."

"This is a fantastic restaurant for vegans - we have our own menu! An amazing array of different and unusual dishes, breads and sides. The staff are always very helpful and the chef is always willing to create any variation on a dish you would like. I've been here lots and haven't even nearly gone through the vegan menu - a treat!"
