Moondogs Art Cafe recently opened on the Oxford Road a short walk from the town centre.
It's a coffee shop cum art gallery/shop with a friendly, with a chilled out atmosphere thanks to Craig the owner. It offers the best vegan cake and hot chocolate around and is a real winner for veggies and vegans. Recently there have been up to 4 vegan choices: chocolate cake, carrot cake, the amazing apple and walnut cake and flap jack. The art is good too! Also has a selection of vegan and veggie sandwiches.
Soya milk is always available for your cappuccino or whatever.
There are plenty of games from Connect 4 to Scrabble. Sometimes there is even live music, as well as guitar and art lessons.
It's even open until 11pm 3 nights a week.
Mon-Wed: 10am till 5pm Thurs-Fri: 10am till 1pm then 3pm to 11pm Sat: 11am till 11pm
