Good quality Indian restaurant and takeaway with attentive staff who can adjust to your requirements. In their opening week we ordered a takeaway which included a wide range of dishes, such as a tasty Chickpea Balti, a delicious Vegetable Dupiaza and a gorgeous Begun Bhaji. The only disappointment was the Tarka Dal, though it was still reasonable. Ingredients were fresh, and every dish had its own flavour.
What we particularly appreciate at Mamoni is that a vegetartian version of every key dish is on the menu, so veggie customers don't have to ask what's possible, like they have to in a tedious amount of other Indian restaurants. They also listened when we explained about not wanting dairy or eggs, and made us feel confident our vegan needs would be met.
The restaurant is smart and clean-cut and has a car park right outside, as well as being on the walking path right through Caversham Park Village.
