join the Climate March in London
Be part of the biggest UK Climate March ever.
Either get to the start of the march in London by your own method, or go by bus with other people from the area.
Berkshire Climate Movement are co-ordinating transport arrangements and are hoping to put on buses to reduce the cost for everyone. Contact Show email address. ASAP to reserve a place on the bus going from Reading!
Tickets also on sale through various Greenpeace, FOE, Green Party etc members and can also be bought in The World Shop at RISC. Price is £7.50 and £5 concession (unwaged and children). Where/when the bus will go from is still not confirmed, but it will go from somewhere central Reading at about 9.30, possibly making other stops around the county if the numbers warrant it. It will probably leave London again at about 4pm
The march itself will start at Lincoln's Inn Fields (Holborn tube) at 12 noon, so get there by then if you are making your own way. More details at: www.campaigncc.org

Monday 14th Nov - 11 til 2 at Reading Uni - a few of us will be on site dressed in furry animal costumes, frolicking about, handing out leaflets for the march and selling bus tickets. If you fancy a giggle, please come along.
Monday 14th Nov - 8 til 10pm - Rising Tide meeting will be given over largely to promoting the march, so please come along if you want to be involved.
Monday 21st Nov - 11 til 2 - back at the uni - the Green Party are planning a demo at the uni and we'll be there trying to sell more bus tickets of the back of it!
Monday 28th Nov - 7.30 til 9ish - banner making at a local play centre - please email for further details of location if you can come - we need all the help we can get!

From Westminster tube, cross over to the Houses of Parliament and walk South down the road in front of them which then runs alongside Victoria Gardens and the River Thames. This road is initially part of Parliament Square, then becomes Abingdon Street and finally Millbank. Continue down here until you find the march. It will be obvious.
The photo here shows the fountain monument in Victoria Tower Gardens. Millbank runs alongside this park and on down beside the river for a couple of bridges.
