Be part of history in London! Be part of the biggest ever mobilisation of vegetarians and vegans on environmental grounds!! Veg*nism is the solution to many of the catastrophies facing the planet - it`s time to tell the world!!

We're joining with other veggies at this National Climate March to demonstrate the importance of this issue to people who care.

If you want to link up with us there please email so we can decide where to meet, be it Reading train station (10amish) or at the march (12 noon). Also tell us if you need us to provide leaflets for you to hand out, or if you can bring some. Last year we found people on the march very interested in veggie & vegan leaflets.

Deforestation, spreading deserts, melting ice caps, flooding - livestock farming causes all this and more Join the march to:

  • Demand that world leaders stop propping up the animal farming industries that cause climate change.
  • Raise awareness amongst environmentalists and the general public that their choice of diet is critical to the survival of the planet!!

Campaign Against Climate Change logo Up to 30,000 environmentalists are expected to join the National Climate March on Sat 8th December 2007 to "demand that world leaders take the urgent action we need to prevent the catastrophic destabilisation of global climate". The National Demo in London will be one of many demonstrations on climate taking place all around the world on the same day ( see here ), midway through the UN Climate Talks in Bali.

"The livestock sector accounts for 18% of global greenhouse
gas emissions - more than transport, which emits 13.5%" -

From Westminster tube, cross over to the Houses of Parliament and walk South down the road in front of them which then runs alongside Victoria Gardens and the River Thames. This road is initially part of Parliament Square, then becomes Abingdon Street and finally Millbank. Continue down here until you find the march. It will be obvious.

The photo here shows the fountain monument in Victoria Tower Gardens. Millbank runs alongside this park and on down beside the river for a couple of bridges.
