We're having another feast at the Red Lion, this time under its new ownership. This pub is only a few miles north of Reading and very easy to find, in glorious Chilterns walking country.

We'll go for a gentle though hilly walk and then have a late meal.

The Red Lion is good for vegans normally and after discussion with them we have decided to present the event differently to normal events.

There will be a walk before-hand for those who want it meeting at NEW-TIME 4pm.

For those who don't want the walk meet at the Red-Lion at 5.30.

As the Red Lion normally has a good choice for vegans on their menu we thought we would make it more like a normal visit to the pub and not do it buffet style. If you would like to come, choose what you want from the menu below and let Ann have your choices before-hand.

Peppard Common is only a few miles north of Reading - just keep going up the Peppard Road from Caversham towards Nettlebed, through Sonning Common until you come to a lovely big flat green at the top of a hill, and there is the pub off to the left. Plenty of parking or you can put your bicycle in the garden (or ask to put it in their yard with their dog).
