Best veggie food in the area plus woodland walk
The Red Lion does the best veggie & vegan food in the area, but the owners are moving on at the end of March, so let's get in there quickly! Come along on Sunday 11th March !
We'll order a special 3 course buffet feast with the whole place to ourselves, and the price will be seriously reasonable. The desserts will be to die for. So have a very late breakfast, join us for a walk, and be growling for a huge tea/supper!
Peppard is only just north of Reading, and easy to find. If you need a lift, be sure to book early so we can arrange one for you.
The Red Lion is set in the midst of the Chiltern Hills - a beautiful wooded walking area, in fact it's a Designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
note - change of time from previously advertised:
We'll go for a walk, meeting at 2:30pm in the pub car park, followed by lunch there. You can go to either or both parts of this event.
2:30pm - meet for gentle walk (walking boots or wellies)
5pm - buffet meal (change of shoes a good idea)

Peppard Common is only a few miles north of Reading - just keep going up the Peppard Road from Caversham towards Nettlebed, through Sonning Common until you come to a lovely big flat green at the top of a hill, and there is the pub off to the left. Plenty of parking or you can put your bicycle in the garden (or ask to put it in their yard with their dog).
