Guerrilla Angel
My ‘little’ brother James’ up and coming new band, Guerrilla Angel, is showcasing live with another band, Relentless, at the legendary Underworld in Camden on 20th January, 2006. It’s also their first live gig in London, so I’m keen to build up all the support I can for them, as this could be the start of something big for them. Your support will be invaluable to me and everyone else involved in organising this gig. And when Guerrilla Angel succeed (of course they will!), you can lay claim to being one of their earliest fans ever to see them play live (wow!)…Gig tickets cost £5 in advance (£6 on the door) -- see update below! 14/15 yr olds must be accompanied by an adult for the gig, otherwise, everyone 16 and over is welcome to join in the fun.
Plus! If you can persuade lots of people to come along, including ardent rock fans (young and old), let me know as I may be able to offer some free tickets in return for your valuable contribution in helping me support my brother’s band.

I may well be biased indeed, but Guerrilla Angel is already proving a promising young rock band since they started playing in the south west. It should be a great night out for everyone. In any case, I will definitely look forward to seeing you there…

The meal is happening at Veg Veg in Camden, just a short walking distance from the Underworld. Click here for more about Veg Veg.- To be guaranteed a place at the restaurant and the gig, you need to book your place with me as soon as possible
(ideally by Sunday 15th January)--
booking deadline extended to 6pm, Thursday 18th January!. - Remember to bring money with you for the meal if you are attending this part of the event, as well as money for drinks and any band merchandise (e.g. CDs, t-shirts, etc).

Although unlikely to be necessary, priority for the restaurant meal will be given to those also attending the gig. Places for non-gig restaurant goers will be confirmed on a first-come-first-served basis by Weds 18 January 2006.-- see update "Restaurant Bookings" below

FREE GIG TICKETS! (12/01/06 21:30)
I have just been informed that all tickets for the gig are now FREE! All those who have already booked their ticket with me will also get their tickets free of charge. Guerrilla Angel have decided to offer free tickets as a one-time introductory gesture to welcome you all to the 'GA experience'. Spread the word around your mates and make sure you don't miss out on this rare opportunity!
20 PEOPLE BOOKED & PLACES STILL AVAILABLE! (12/01/06 22:20)
So far, about 20 people from various veggie groups have already booked to join in with the fun. There are still plenty of places going, whether you want to attend just the meal, the gig, or both. If you are interested in coming along, now's the time to book!
TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS (16/01/06 17:45)
There are several people travelling from the same areas to this event. If you would prefer to travel with other people, please let me know by Wednesday 18th, so that I can put you in touch with anyone in your area wanting to do the same.
MEAL & GIG TIME CHANGES! (16/01/06 22:45)
The gig will now start at 9pm, not 7pm as originally planned! So there's less of a rush to get to the restaurant for those of us going, and more relaxing time to eat good veggie food while getting to know people. I expect the majority of people to arrive at the restaurant between 7 to 7:30pm, as they will probably be travelling after work, or from further afield. If you haven't booked yourself for the meal and would now like to attend this part as well, please contact me (see details below) by 6pm on Thursday evening at the latest. BTW the gig will finish by 11pm

It's not too late to join in the fun, if you want to come! Book your place by 6pm on Thursday evening at the latest, so that I can guarantee it. Remember, gig tickets are free, and the gig now starts later at 9pm, giving ample time to join nearly 30 people of other veg*n groups over some good veggie food beforehand. Don't miss it!!
RESTAURANT BOOKINGS (18/01/06 19:30)
I'm pleased to tell all those people who booked a restaurant place only that your bookings are now all confirmed (those attending the gig as well were automatically confirmed when you booked). I look forward to seeing you all at Veg Veg on Friday!
TRAVELLING TOGETHER (19/01/06 21:40)
Very few people indicated an interest in travelling with others from the same area. The few that did are not travelling from the same areas. Therefore, everyone is expected to make their own way to the restaurant and/or gig tomorrow.
Final Plan!
A bit later than intended, this is the final plan for Friday. We'll play some of it by 'ear', depending on when people get to the restaurant and finish eating etc.Veg Veg - 6:30 pm onwards
Most people should arrive at Veg Veg from 7:00 to 7:30 pm. A few of us will arrive a little earlier and hopefully no-one much later than 7:30 pm, to ensure enough time to eat. For anyone who wants to meet earlier, I hope to be there for 6:30 pm at the latest. No need to worry about whether you'll be able to find the group - we've got the entire ground floor (street level) room booked just for us!
Underworld - 8:15 pm onwards
If time permits i.e. everyone has finished eating and is ready to go, I suggest we go to the venue for some pre-gig drinks. In any case, we need to be at the venue for 8:45 pm before the gig starts. We’ll cast a quick vote on this at the restaurant!
Guerrilla Angel - 9:00 pm
Guerrilla Angel starts rocking the night away, later followed by Relentless! If everything goes to time, I am informed the gig will finish around 10:30 pm, with the venue closing at 11:00 pm.
