T3V in the Media
This won't be a comprehensive list, but we thought it would be nice to have a record of when the group and its members get in the media about all things veggie and ethical. Anything before or since 2008 is from memory, so we will have missed out some - please tell us if there's something we should add.
Sophie appears in much of this, and would love more of you to join in - the more faces and voices the more interesting!
2010
- 17 December - Christmas dinner inspiration with Anne Diamond on BBC Radio Berkshire.
- 13 December - Desert Island Discs style show with Sophie Fenwick-Paul as the guest local character from Berkshire. Plenty of vegan content, including a dessert for Bill Buckley to try on air, which he loved.
- 29 November - Sophie commented on the benefits of positive support for breastfeeding on BBC Radio Berkshire Andrew Peach show
- 16 September - a whole 2 hour lunch time slot with vegan food samples, discussion, recipes, poems and music on Reading4u community radio. It was a joy - thanks Helen for a lovely time and great radio!
2009
- 3 November - Sophie on BBC Radio Berks

2008
- 11 May - Sally guest presenter from BBC TV News interviews Sophie on vegetarian and veganism on BBC Berks.
- early May - at least two Thames Valley Veggies vegans were interviewed for Come Dine with Me, the Channel 4 prime time show about dining and hosting.
- 23 February - Tim Smith on BBC Radio Berks - Thames Valley Veggies were live for about 40 minutes. Sophie Fenwick-Paul was interviewed in the studio by Tim Smith of Radio 2 fame, feeding him yummy vegan muffins. Subjects ranged from why vegan to cooking to Veggie Snow. - January - BBC Berks' Andrew Peach show - Sophie was called to comment on air about healthy eating.
- The Morality Panel on BBC Radio Berkshire - Sophie Fenwick-Paul is a frequent guest on this Wednesday lunchtime show with.
2007
- December - a lengthy and fun interview of Sophie on a veggie-friendly show on an Essex radio station, with guest presenter Karin Ridgers.
- 10 November - Sophie on the Richard Skinner show on veganism and the environment.
- 1 November - an Edinburgh local radio station - Sophie interviewed about World Vegan Day
- Over the Summer - local radio interviews about veganism and the environment
- May - Sophie on BBC Berks, and local Newbury and Basingstoke radio stations about National Vegetarian Week.
- Reading Chronicle in April - double page centre-fold spread on Viva's Incredible Veggie Roadshow, with a photo of T3V's Sophie dressed as Carmen filling most of one page.
- Reading Evening Post in April - big article on Viva's Incredible Veggie Roadshow, with a large photo of T3V's Sophie dressed as Carmen.
- The Morality Panel on BBC Radio Berkshire - Sophie Fenwick-Paul was a frequent guest on this Wednesday show.
2006
- Christmas 2tenFM - Rachael Fitz-Desorgher and family rescued Tina the turkey and her friend after a massive listeners' vote to save her (thanks everyone!).
- Christmas 2tenFM - Sophie Fenwick-Paul fed vegan Christmas dinner live on air to Foxy & Tom of 2tenFM
- Christmas BBC Berks - Sophie Fenwick-Paul fed vegan Christmas main dish live on air to Richard Skinner of BBC Radio Berks
- May - Reading Evening Post - feature on T3V's Veggie Monster Art Competition, with a photo of one of the children who won, plus Ben of Cafe Iguana and Peter Kayes, local councillor.
- 23rd March - BBC Radio Berks Veggie phone-in from 2-3pm with Nikki Whiteman.
- The Morality Panel on BBC Radio Berkshire - Sophie Fenwick-Paul was a frequent guest on this Wednesday show.
2005 and earlier
- November 2005 ITV - Sophie was on ITV with Tony Bishop-Weston for World Vegan Day.
- Various local radio appearances.
- NVW 2003 - Ginny Watts and Sophie in the Reading Evening Post ofr a feature on the upcoming National Vegetarian Week.

Assistance for Restaurants and Businesses
Thames Valley Veggies are able to offer vegetarian option menu design and marketing assistance as well as chefs' workshops for restaurants, hotels, B&B's and catering companies.
Initial assistance from Thames Valley Veggies is given on a voluntary basis, but we welcome donations to national vegetarian organisations in return, particularly for workshops and more in-depth help.
We freely list businesses we consider particularly welcoming to vegetarians and vegans.
