Recipes
There
are so many wonderful vegetarian and vegan recipes on the web and
in books that we're not going to duplicate them here. Instead
we'll give you pointers to some of the best.
What you want to cook depends a bit on what kind of cook you are and what kind of food you and your guests like. Veggies are always being served up the typical something with cheese on top dishes (which are pretty easy to invent for yourself anyway, and make vegan using Cheezly), so it's refreshing to get something different from that.
If you don't know how veggie the veggie you are cooking for is, err on the side of properly veggie or vegan.
Books
For something totally mind expanding, I'd recommend getting the latest book by my favourite veggie cook of all time, Tony (Bishop-)Weston, who's really inspired. It's called "Vegan" but don't think lentils, think totally exceptional. It's a BBC favourite. You can buy it directly at his website.
I also like the simple tasty hearty food in all Leah Leneman's cookbooks. Her Tofu Cookbook is particularly inspired and can totally change people's perception of this ingredient. If you are cooking for vegans, make sure in any recipe of hers using honey, you change it for an alternative like maple syrup.
Recipes on line
Just do a Google search for vegetarian or vegan recipes and you will get millions of links. It can be a bit daunting! You can try also putting in your favourite ingredients or the type of dish you want to make, or otherwise try some of our recommended sites. Even if you are not vegan or even veggie, don't be afraid of the vegan recipes - they are often the most interesting!

Eating with us
And remember, you're always welcome to a night off from cooking at our group's meals out. Many people come with non-veggie partners who just enjoy the special menus we always get restaurants to put on for us. Some non-veggies even come by themselves!
