Example Library display - Caversham library
23 October 2003

To promote World Vegan Day we are creating a display based on the three facets of Veganism: health, environment and animals.
Caversham library has a 3 sided display of about 5 foot high. It is free to book its use.
Health
We used a standee of Orlando Bloom as a vehicle to highlight the parts of the body a vegan diet appear to be beneficial for.
The Environment
We have highlighted the environmental impact of a vegetarian diet in respect to land usage, greenhouse gas emission and water usage.
Animals
We have concentrated on fish.
Recommended Books
We also had a list of recommended books.

Assistance for Restaurants and Businesses
Thames Valley Veggies are able to offer vegetarian option menu design and marketing assistance as well as chefs' workshops for restaurants, hotels, B&B's and catering companies.
Initial assistance from Thames Valley Veggies is given on a voluntary basis, but we welcome donations to national vegetarian organisations in return, particularly for workshops and more in-depth help.
We freely list businesses we consider particularly welcoming to vegetarians and vegans.
